Art Magic

Here is the slice of the Internet where you can browse and view my Art Magic works both past and present. I feel more connected to this world and reality when I create. Each piece tells a unique story. What is the story? Well that’s up to you to interpret. I love that everyone gains something different from my pieces. You gain perspective on what is valuable to you. Art is subjective and that is why not all my pieces may speak to you. However, I am certain at least one will.

My “why”

Abstract Art is a lesson in itself as it allows you to learn to trust the process. To enjoy the journey as much as the outcome. You must trust that it will turn out well and work itself out. I always say there are ugly parts to the creation process. The trick and mastery lies in pushing through those “ugly phases” and back into beauty without giving up on the project completely or stalling the inevitable.

Attachment also comes into play, as we grow attached to a piece while painting it. We tend to grow weary of ruining it. This stops the creative process right in its tracks. Leaving an artwork dimensionless and without meaning. What is needed is to love the parts of the piece as we go along without getting attached as layering is key to abstract art.

Just like life, Art teaches us that attachments and doubts cloud our better judgment and dampen our energy from being free. We hold back out of fear and we doubt what the universe has in store for us. We cling to things that are fleeting and we hold on to things that no longer serve us. These are common patterns in all of our lives that are reflected in the creation of abstract art. This is why I believe abstract art to be freeing on so many levels.
